Break and Enter

Police are investigating a break and enter to a business located in the plaza on Ross Street at Jonas. Entry was made through by breaking a window at the side of the business. The suspect then left quickly through the front door after triggering an audible alarm. The suspect was wearing black track pants, a black sweater and carrying a black back pack. Nothing appears to have been taken. Fraud

A forty eight year old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged with Fraud Over $5000. The charges were laid as a result of an investigation completed by detectives in the Criminal Investigations Branch after receiving a complaint from an insurance company. The man is alleged to have defrauded his disability provider of approximately $65,000 by working a second job while claiming insurance for over two years. He was taken into custody without incident for processing at the Colin McGregor Building and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^2089

Domestic Assault

A twenty four year old St. Thomas man was arrested Tuesday morning and charged with Domestic Assault. The charges were laid after Officers on Community Patrol responded to a disturbance. The man is alleged to have assaulted his common law girlfriend during an argument. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing. He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. No injuries were reported. ^3336

Criminal Harassment

A forty three year old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charged with Criminal Harassment. The charges were laid following an investigation by detectives in the Criminal Investigations Branch after he was alleged to have been making repeated attempts to see and contact a woman after being repeatedly warned to stay away. He was taken into custody without incident at the Colin McGregor Building for processing and later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^3343

Fraud

The owner/operator of a London concrete company has been arrested and charged with Fraud Under $5000. The charges were laid after the owner charged a $1900 deposit to a St. Thomas resident for concrete work. The company never showed up to complete the job on the date agreed upon and then delayed the job several times eventually ceasing communication with the client. The owner was taken into custody without incident at the Colin McGregor Building for processing and later released on an Undertaking with court date. ^3346

Warrant

Twenty eight year old Leslie Bell of St. Thomas is wanted on a warrant. A bench warrant was issued after she failed to attend her scheduled court date to answer to charges of Theft Under $5000 and Breach of Release. Warrant

Thirty eight year old Freddy Cruz Ventura is wanted on a warrant. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest after he failed to attend his scheduled court date to answer to charges of Drug Possession, Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Release. Impaired

A fifty seven year old St. Thomas man was arrested and charged with Operation While Impaired by Alcohol Tuesday afternoon. The man was taken into custody during a traffic stop on Alexandria Avenue after police discovered he was impaired. He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building where breath samples taken indicated he had two and a half times the legal limit of alcohol in his system. He was later released on an Undertaking with court date. 3355

Warrant

Thirty two year old Joshua Marcotte of St. Thomas was arrested Tuesday after he turned himself in at the Colin McGregor Building. Marcotte was wanted on a warrant after he was alleged to have breached his court ordered release conditions. He was taken into custody without incident for processing and later released on an Appearance Notice for court. ^3368

Domestic Assault

A fifty four year old St. Thomas woman was arrested and charged with domestic assault following a disturbance outside a homeless shelter on Princess Avenue early Wednesday morning. The woman is alleged to have assaulted her boyfriend during an argument. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing. She was later released on an Undertaking with court date. No injuries were reported. ^3383

Arson

Forty year old Shawn Fisher of St. Thomas was arrested and charged with arson early Wednesday morning. Police were responding to a report of flames coming from the grass area near the corner of Talbot Street and Princess Avenue. When police and fire arrived they discovered Fisher had set the fire. The flames were extinguished without incident and Fisher was taken into custody. He was transported to the Colin McGregor Building where he was also charged with breaching his court ordered release conditions. He was held for a court appearance. ^3387
