The Embassy of Saint Lucia extends congratulatory wishes to Mr. Cyril Saltibus, former Mayor of Vieux-Fort and present Consultant in the Department of Housing and Local Government, for completing the Smart City Development Workshop organized by TaiwanICDF. The workshop provided a unique platform to gain insights into the latest trends and advancements in smart city technologies and urban planning.
Prior to beginning the workshop, Mr. Saltibus had this to say about what he had hoped to gain from the experience: “It is hopeful that our city of Castries and other communities are committed to embracing smart city initiatives to enhance the quality of life for our residents. This workshop is an essential step toward realizing the vision of the Department of Housing and Local Government under the stewardship of Honourable Richard Frederick and Permanent Secretary Dr. Cadelia Lane-Ambrose. The smart city movement should present a vast market opportunity, but it’s also a chance to make our communities a better place to live. Collaboration and innovation are key.”
