Health officials have placed another Grenadian in quarantine, bringing to 4, the total number of Grenadians quarantined in the past week.
In the past week, 4 Grenadians have been placed in quarantine to avoid a Coronavirus outbreak.
After landing at the Maurice Bishop International Airport a little after 9pm on Sunday, a student studying in mainland China was quickly isolated and screened, interviewed by medical personnel, and then quarantined.
The student left China on February 7th, and is now part of the mandatory quarantined process that Grenada has placed into effect to limit the risk of exposure. Persons who recently travelled to areas which are at risk of exposure to the Coronavirus in the last 14 days have their travel restricted and are placed in quarantine.
The Ministry of Health explained that the measures curretly being implemented are for the best overall health interest of all Grenadians, and the Ministry of Health commends all frontline personnel engaged in the preventatie measures, and demonstrates it’s highest support to them. The public is being reminded that while the risk is still low, they should be cautious and practice proper hygiene.
